Space K sits quietly on Jl. Raya Darmo Permai III in Surabaya’s Sukomanunggal neighborhood, blending the vibe of a cozy café with the calm focus of a study spot and even a flexible event space upstairs. It’s more than just a place for coffee—it feels like a daylong companion whether you’re working quietly, meeting friends for a light bite, or simply looking for a peaceful nook to read.

The interior carries a subtle librarian feel, with shelves mostly stocked with Korean books, which adds a unique cultural note. The café layout balances casual dining on the first floor—with ordering and the restroom—and a quieter second-floor area that functions well for studying, remote work, or small gatherings. The atmosphere tends to stay soft-spoken and respectful, making it easier to settle in for several hours without distractions, even when the place is nearly full.

Food and drinks hold their own without drawing too much spotlight. Regulars appreciate the variety of sweet pastries like croissants and "crombolini," alongside savory snacks such as french fries and chicken salad. The coffee quality is generally reliable, with options like cappuccino or the butterscotch coffee standing out, though there are occasional inconsistencies in beverage preparation. Refreshing iced fruity teas and unique playful bingsu mango desserts offer something lighter for warmer days. Pizzas and calzones also get positive nods, especially if you prefer savory full bites rather than just snacks.

The staff here contributes a friendly face and helpful service, which fits well with the relaxed but attentive atmosphere. Free Wi-Fi supports the café’s quiet work-and-study crowd, who often settle in with laptops, books, and notes. The presence of a prayer room adds an inclusive touch for longer visits, highlighting Space K’s thoughtfulness toward diverse needs.

Visitors who thrive in calm environments—students, freelancers, or those working from home—will find Space K welcoming. Early afternoons during weekdays tend to be the best times to enjoy the space when it’s calm but not closed, and the lighting complements reading or screen work. Weekends may fill up with casual groups, though the general hush remains intact.

While the menu could grow in its heavier meal options, Space K remains a steady option for those who want more than just a quick coffee run. It encourages lingering, slow afternoons, offering enough variety to keep you comfortable without overwhelming the senses. It’s a quiet corner of Surabaya for those who appreciate thoughtful spaces rather than purely bustling café vibes.

It's a special place for hangout and coffee in Surabaya. They have a good atmosphere for reading a book and aesthetic interior design. The recommended menu is Pizza!!! Must try!!

A cafe which has a librarian concept in it, though the books are all almost in Koreans. The snacks are mostly sweet such as croissant and crombolini, however they also offer savory ones such as french fries. They provided free wifi so it is nice and a cozy place for working or studying. The first floor is where the cafe and where you take your orders as well as the toilet. The second floor is the working space and classrooms for SKCC. The third floor is the multifunction hall. They offer both coffee and non coffee beverages. They also have some pizza if you want a heavy snack for work.

The place was quiet. I went there to work and even though the place was almost full, no one talked loudly and annoyed others. I ordered a pastry once and Butterscotch Coffee twice. The first one tasted better than the second one. If there's something needed to improve it's the consistency when they make their beverages.

Actually this is a great cafe if you want to sit a long time and do some assignments. Because it has prayers room, great choices of drinks and great place to concentrate. But I hope they make more choices on the heavy food. Great place nevertheless.

Love the concept of this place, its full of books but sadly 90% of it was in Korean. Food was amazing, didn’t expect that much but both pizza & pasta was good. Ps: dont forget to order the bingsoo. Mango bingsoo was quite good

Really comfy spot to chill or work, music at just the right volume so you can focus. Lots of tables and sockets for charging, Wi-Fi super stable. Tried the matcha latte and it’s smooth, not too sweet. Staff are friendly, helpful, and make you feel at home. Easy to stay here for hours without noticing.
